zurich classic

Back again... off to New Orleans this week and here are my tips for this event>

CHOI 30/1 > forever under the radar and such a good player; may keep Masters form going and put in a good effort here - has won many times on this tour although not since 2008 - been a bit of a drought since then win wise but is more than capable and if getting off to a good start then should compete right through to Sunday afternoon (won this event in 2002 when it was held elsewhere)

FOWLER 35/1 > can get away with wayward driving here and great putter - needs to hit greens this week as he can spray it about a bit but so long as he gives himself chances he can score well

HOWELL 45/1 > horses for courses job, cold putter may stop him but good record here > 2nd in 2009 and has good GIR stats - has won twice previously on tour so will know what it takes etc

VILLEGAS 100/1 > due to return to form and trying to catch the odds before he does - started well last wk with opening 66,68 before fading - has had a poor yr and stats are correspondingly poor but could be due a return to form that saw him win 3 times in 2 yrs not so long ago

JJ HENRY 100/1 > good stats and lurking well regularly but putting is stopping him making the frame.. chance this wk if he clicks - not a prolific winner or even making the frame regularly but is consistent with 11 of 11 cuts made this yr - hoping he can improve on his usual finish of about 35th or so - needs to drop that odd poor round

Not backing Lukey at 10s and Watney should be a cert really but not sure if he's on a downward roll now.. Stricker isn't quite back to his backable best... may well watch and cover Watney as one of the more likely favs

Possible trades > petrovic 130, weekley 150, jobe 220, triangle lol 300, ogilvie 500 and driscoll 350.. some of these for sure
